BALTIMORE -- Just two batters into Tuesday night's game against the Rangers, Steve Pearce had his third home run in nine innings.

The red-hot Orioles slugger lofted a fly ball toward the left-field foul pole 333 feet away from home plate. Shin-Soo Choo made a play on the ball, but it popped off his glove, off the foul pole and over the fence.

Texas manager Ron Washington didn't challenge, but crew chief Jeff Nelson opted to review the play anyway. After a 41-second review, the call was confirmed and the O's took a 1-0 lead on Pearce's third home run in two games.
