NEW YORK -- The Orioles have signed left-hander Randy Wolf to a Minor League contract, a club source confirmed, one of several transactions for the organization on Sunday.
Right-hander Josh Stinson also accepted his outright assignment to Triple-A Norfolk, and the Orioles outrighted righty Edgmer Escalona -- who was on the 60-day disabled list -- to Norfolk as well, which keeps him off the 40-man roster.
The 37-year-old Wolf was released by the Marlins earlier this season after pitching to a 5.26 ERA in six Major League games. He appeared in five games for the Orioles in 2012 and had his second Tommy John surgery that year. Wolf is expected to be part of Norfolk's rotation.
Stinson was designated for assignment last week to clear a roster spot for starter Miguel Gonzalez.
