BALTIMORE -- Orioles first baseman Chris Davis was not in Sunday's starting lineup. The first baseman -- who hit a tie-breaking two-run homer in Saturday's game -- got a scheduled day off.
"I've got a boo-boo on my left shin. It's really been bothering me" Davis joked after assuring reporters he was fine. "An owie on my elbow, too. I'm going to be day to day on that one. Little bit of a headache today. I'm going to be hour-to-hour on that one."
Davis, who was replaced by Steve Pearce on Sunday, was available if needed in the series finale against Toronto.
"Nice weapon off the bench," manager Buck Showalter said of the slugger, who is expected back in the starting lineup on Monday.
