BALTIMORE -- Tommy Hunter threw a scoreless inning for Lower Class A Delmarva on a rehab assignment Saturday night, and the reliever could be back with the Orioles on Sunday.
Hunter, who has been on the disabled list since May 22 with a groin strain, pitched the second inning against Lakewood and had two strikeouts and a hit batsman. He threw 11 pitches, eight for strikes. He has a 1-1 record with a 6.06 ERA this season.
The right-hander began the season as the team's closer, but appears to have lost the job to Zach Britton after blowing three saves. Hunter has 11 saves and pitched well at times, but struggled in recent late-game appearances.
