Right-hander Hunter Harvey, the Orioles' No. 4 prospect, struck out a career-high 10 batters in seven innings on Monday. He retired the last 16 batters he faced, and Class A Delmarva defeated Lakewood, 3-0.

Harvey, who is ranked No. 100 on MLB.com's Top 100 prospects list, allowed one hit and one walk. He worked efficiently, needing only 83 pitches to complete the longest outing of his young career.

Lakewood shortstop J.P. Crawford, the Phillies' No. 3 prospect and No. 94 overall, led off the game with a walk. Left fielder Samuel Hiciano added a double in the second inning, but the BlueClaws were otherwise stymied by Harvey.

Lakewood is just the latest team Harvey has shut down since the Orioles made him the 22nd overall pick in the 2013 First-Year Player Draft. In 15 career starts, he has a 1.54 ERA and has struck out 78 batters in 64 1/3 innings. This season, he has a 1.38 ERA and leads the South Atlantic League with 45 strikeouts.

Center fielder Josh Hart, who was drafted 15 picks after Harvey, supplied some of the offense Monday for Delmarva. The Orioles' No. 6 prospect went 1-for-4 with an RBI and is hitting .305 in 28 games this season.
