O's line up arms to bring regular season to close

ST. PETERSBURG -- The Orioles have tentatively set their rotation for the rest of the regular season, with Chris Tillman, Bud Norris and Miguel Gonzalez following Sunday starter Wei-Yin Chen and pitching at home against Toronto.

Tillman tweaked his ankle covering third base in his most recent game, in Boston, but threw a side session on Sunday and is on track to make Tuesday's start. Tillman -- at a staff-leading 194 1/3 innings -- is closing in on 200, and there's no guarantee he'll pitch the final regular-season game next Sunday if the Orioles are out of postseason contention.

Manager Buck Showalter said that the final start could be made by someone the organization wants to take a look at instead, such as Tsuyoshi Wada. Scott Feldman and Chen are on tap to pitch the first two games of that Boston series, which opens on Friday.

Norris, who had been moved to the bullpen and continues to get treatment on his right elbow, could be replaced by Jason Hammel if he's not deemed good to go for Wednesday's game. Again, that could depend on where the Orioles are in the standings.
