Rain postpones first game of twin bill

BALTIMORE -- One down, one still scheduled. The first game of Baltimore's scheduled doubleheader against Oakland was washed away by Tropical Storm Hanna on Saturday, but the night game is planned to proceed as normal. Daniel Cabrera is still scheduled to pitch the 7:05 ET game, which will be played if conditions permit.

The Orioles originally had one game scheduled for Saturday and one for Sunday, but switched to a doubleheader so they wouldn't collide with the Ravens' season opener at M&T Bank Stadium. Baltimore hasn't named a replay date, but Sunday appears to be out and the A's and Orioles have off-days in common on September 15 and 25.

Fans with tickets for the 1:05 p.m. game should hold them until another announcement is made regarding the game. Fans may also exchange their tickets for tonight's 7:05 game, weather permitting, or any remaining home game during the 2008 season, subject to availability.
