Orioles sign veteran infielder Hall
The Orioles have signed Bill Hall to a Minor League deal that is expected to be made official on Tuesday.

Hall, a utility player who elected free agency after not making the Yankees' roster this spring, played for the Giants and Astros last season. He is a career .248 batter in 10 Major League seasons, hitting .211 in 62 games combined for San Francisco and Houston last year.

The 32-year-old would presumably add depth organizationally, and the O's like his defense at third base and his power against left-handed pitching. With Saturday's trade of third baseman Josh Bell, Hall could see extended time for the Orioles' Triple-A affiliate in Norfolk.

FOXSports.com first reported Hall's signing.
