Pitchers and catchers may be more than two months away from reporting to Spring Training, but everything else is on schedule.
The Orioles released their Grapefruit League schedule on Tuesday, a slate that includes 15 road games and home games against 10 different opponents.
Baltimore, playing its third straight spring in Sarasota, Fla., and its second at the newly renovated Ed Smith Stadium, will kick off the Spring Training schedule on March 5 with a split-squad game in Port Charlotte, Fla., against the Rays and a night game at home against the Pirates.
The Orioles will play 15 home games during Spring Training, a schedule that includes three visits from the Red Sox and two each from the Twins, Pittsburgh and Rays. Baltimore will also play host to the Yankees, Braves, Tigers, Phillies, Blue Jays and Nationals next spring.
Baltimore's away schedule includes two road trips to play against Toronto, Philadelphia, Boston, Tampa Bay, Minnesota and Pittsburgh. The Orioles will travel to face Atlanta, Detroit and the Yankees once each during the Spring Training schedule, which wraps up April 2.
The Orioles' final game of the exhibition season will be at home against Florida Southern College. Baltimore has not yet announced when single-game tickets will be on sale for the Spring Training slate, but fans interested in season plans may visit orioles.com/spring for further information.
