O's lefty Patton released from custody
Orioles left-hander Troy Patton was arrested on Saturday night in Houston and charged with a DWI, KPRC television reported on Monday.

The Orioles had no comment when reached by MLB.com, and Patton could not be reached for comment.

Patton, 25, was pulled over by police for speeding and driving over a curb, according to the report. Police also said Patton had a 0.14 blood-alcohol content, which is nearly twice the legal limit of 0.08 in Texas, and that he was released on $500 bond, with a court date scheduled for later this month.

Patton, who was acquired by the O's in the trade that sent shortstop Miguel Tejada to the Astros in 2007, made one appearance with the Orioles last season, recording two outs against the Red Sox on Sept. 22. He spent most of the season with Triple-A Norfolk, going 8-11 with a 4.43 ERA in 25 starts.
