MANAGERIAL/COACHING CAREER

Enters his first season as the Orioles Third Base Coach after being named to the position for the 2019 season...Marks his 19th season as a coach or manager...Earned his first Major League coaching assignment when he was named First Base Coach of the Philadelphia Phillies for the 2018 season while also serving as the Infield/Baserunning Instructor...Served as the Minor League Infield Coordinator for the Chicago Cubs from 2013-17...Served as a member of the coaching staff for Team Puerto Rico in the 2013 World Baseball Classic...Managed the Puerto Rico National Baseball Team from 2011-12 during the PanAm Games in Mexico and the Baseball World Cup in Panama...Managed the Cidra Bravos of the Puerto Rico Baseball Federation from 2004-11 where the team won four national titles (2005-06 and 2008-09) and was named Manager of the Year in 2005...Spent the 2008 season as manager of the Cleveland Indians Dominican Summer League team...Has served as a Third Base/Infield Coach in the Puerto Rico Professional Winter League since 2000 and has earned four championships: one in 2001 with the Bayamon Vaqueros and three with the Santurce Cangrejeros in 2015, 2016, 2019.
 
PLAYING CAREER

Selected by the Houston Astros in the 1990 First-Year Player Draft...Played his entire professional career (1990-94) as an infielder in Houston's Minor League system...During the 1993 season, finished second in the Florida State League in double plays turned by a shortstop (91)...On 5/15/93, broke Brian Hunter's then-Osceola Astros record by hitting safely in 20 consecutive games.
 
PERSONAL

Flores and his wife, Luz (Lisa), reside in Guarbo, Puerto Rico...The couple has two daughters: Adrianna (Adri) and Allison (Ali).
